TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. The most quick fix if you dont think what you're hearing is what you're supposed to be hearing, close the player window and open it again by clicking the LISTEN LIVE button on the opening page of the site
  2. If you have a Mac operating system, please consider downloading a plugin such as Flip4Mac. More info can be found here

  4. If you can't hear anything from the player here are several possible answers. First, we only broadcast LIVE during our preset schedule, but you can listen to past shows simply by going to our show archive pages that are associated with each show, and clicking on the show of your choice. You also need Windows Media Player installed on your computer. If your computer does not have Windows Media Player, you can download it for free at Microsoft's Windows Media Player website HERE

Q. Where can I hear Race Talk Radio? Can I hear your show on my car radio?
A. We currently are only available online, but if you take your computer into your car and have Wi-Fi capabilities, sure, you can hear us in your car on your computer! Any place that your computer can go and you can be online, you can hear Race Talk Radio! Isn't life just wonderful?

Q. Do I need DSL or highspeed to hear the show? I only have dial up service.
A. Our show streams extremely well on dial-up ISP's and has been fully road-tested on both dial-up and high speed. The technology used in the live internet streaming process has improved tremendously and little to no dropout can be expected no matter how you connect to the internet.

Q. What do I need on my computer to hear your show?
A. You will need a set of speakers and Microsoft Windows Media Player, or any alternate media player that is WMA compatible will work effortlessly (ie. RealPlayer). Most computers come equipped with these media player by default.

Q. What is Windows Media Player?
A. Windows Media Player is a free software media player used for playing audio and video on personal computers running Microsoft Windows. The basic file format we broadcast the show in, and also use for our archive is WMA (Windows Media Audio).
