Where Did 2008 Go? - Fantasy Insight Daytona 2
The NASCAR circus can't be going back to Daytona International Speedway already! Where has the year gone? We were just giving you our picks for the season (Kyle Busch my pick to win championship) and getting ready for Speedweeks. Now the Firecracker 400 is about to take the track. The cross flags are in the air for the 2008 season and this has been a crazy year so far. Picking winners at Daytona can be tough! The track changes a lot from February to July. Do you need to be convinced of that statistically? Five of the last six wins by Ford have come in July. The Daytona 500 is a horsepower race and the Firecracker 400 is a handling race. Despite the strength of Dodge at the 500 I am betting against a repeat this season. It has been over 30 years since Dodge won in July here. The tires will be even harder this week and the track slick. It will take some luck to get the winner this week but grabbing the best slick track drivers will pay off with consistent results. Good luck with your fantasy picks this week.

Last Week's Results: New Hampshire (13th, 8th, 18th)
Silly me not checking who keeps the best eye on the weather channel! Stewart led the most laps but luck was not on his side. All three drivers ended up on the wrong side of the strategy game. Any time the top three is Kurt Busch, Michael Waltrip, and JJ Yeley picking the top three with a random number generator is the only way to hit your picks!
Win: Kyle Busch (5-1 Odds)
Slick track suits his style
Place: Tony Stewart (5-1 Odds)
Summer time is Stewart time
Show: Dale Earnhardt Jr (6-1 Odds)
Not picking Junior at Daytona would be dumb
Outsider: Elliott Sadler (22-1 as Field Bet)
(Outside of Top 20 in Points)
(10th Last Week)
Luck turning around for Sadler
Long Shot Special: Clint Bowyer (30-1 Odds)
(20-1 or Greater in Vegas)
(12th Last Week)
If he can finish shiny side up
Rookie of the Race: Regan Smith
(23rd and top rookie last week)
DEI still understands plate racing
Struggling Star: Greg Biffle
(Inside Top 12 in Points)
(Last Week 11th)
Has worst luck of the bunch
