Trading Red Bulls - Wednesday Whining
AJ Allmendinger getting released by Red Bull Racing makes absolutely no sense to me! Yes Scott Speed is burning it up on the ARCA tour but it is a huge jump to Sprint Cup racing! Allmendinger was telling the team all along that something was wrong with his car. Since they didn't believe him they brought in Mike Skinner to test drive and he told the team exactly what AJ was telling them all along. After fixing the problems the team has been on a nice roll since Allmendinger returned to the seat. Nine top ten finishes and six top ten qualifying spots prove that AJ Allmendinger has arrived at the Cup level. Next year could have been huge, but now he is out of the ride at the No. 84 in favor of Scott Speed. Couldn't the team find room for a third car next season? Unless the No. 41 team makes a huge increase in quality of equipment we may never see what AJ Allmendinger might have been able to do at the Cup level with some more experience. Trading Red Bulls at this time is not a good move at all.

Wednesday Wonderful-The Biff's Pass
More than anything else in Cup racing I hate the term "Points Racing." Back in the day racing was all about winning the race and getting the big check, a kiss from the trophy girl and the big trophy! Guys like Ed Flemke didn't even bother running all the races in the Modified division because as Ed said, "You can't eat a championship!" Nowadays the championship is huge money! Now it's ok to settle for third place instead of going for the win. But Greg Biffle has never points raced in his life! Flying three-wide into the lead with reckless abandon at Dover showed why inside the car Greg Biffle is one of the most exciting drivers in Cup racing! Two wins in a row after going 33 races without a win and suddenly Greg Biffle is one of the championship favorites. Now it's off to one of his best tracks where he pulled off a surprise win last season. Can he make it three in a row?
