Why Junior Wins at Atlanta - ODDS and ENDS
OK folks I told you earlier this week on "Fantasy Insight" and on Rowdy.com that Junior was as close to a lock this week as you ever get in NASCAR racing. I usually do not like to pick the favorites but at odds of 6-1 that is still a good buy this week. Let's break down the stats shall we? Throw out last year for Junior at Atlanta because of all the uproar at DEI. From the November race in 2001 through 2006 Dale Earnhardt Junior posted nine top tens in eleven starts! Seven of those finishes were top fives including one win. Four of those top fives and the win came in the Spring race. Junior starts on the outside of the front row and was seventh best in final practice. Dale Earnhardt Junior loves to race high, wide, and handsome which is usually the key to win at this super fast track! Yes Junior Nation you can take this one to the bank!

Upon Further Review
Someone send NASCAR teams a new torque wrench…there appears to be an epidemic of loose bolts on those oil reservoirs! Roush-Fenway Racing says it was not on purpose. Toyota's Lee White says he knows exactly how much down force various things add to the car. Sure seems to me that the Toyota brass have been working hard to figure out ways OTHER teams might be cheating, you can make your own conclusion from that! Will Roush appeal the ruling that took 100 points and the 10-point bonus for the win away from Carl last week? Lately the National Stock Car Commission seems very flexible with making changes. Perhaps the explanation of why they have lies here.

Keep on Truckin'
Love him or hate him Kyle Busch is the most entertaining driver in NASCAR right now! Fans that remember him back in the day all bring up the name Tim Richmond when describing Kyle Busch. "Rowdy" appears to be more at peace with his new ride and that more than anything else might be the reason he has gone from a "Wild Child" to a great racer! Many race fans have vision problems when it comes to watching drivers on the track. If you love the guy he can do no wrong but if you dislike him for whatever reason he can't do anything right! On Friday night Kyle Busch used every inch of the racetrack and maybe some of the backstretch grandstand to race to the front to win the American Commercial Lines 200. Tune into Lori Munro's "Cargo Light Review" every Thursday on RaceTalkRadio to keep up with the Craftsman Truck Series and all the news from the world of truck racing.
Nationwide is On Your Side
When qualifying at Atlanta is snowed out you know this is going to be a weird weekend! Kyle Busch was about to get black flagged for "Performance detrimental to NASCAR-stinking up the show" when his tire blew and he hit the wall. That turned the race into a three-man battle between Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton, and Kevin Harvick. Kenseth would hold off a hard charging Harvick to get his first win of the season. The best Nationwide-only driver was Brad Keselowski in sixth place.
Who are These Guys
Tune into any NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series or Nationwide Series race and you will see names the average fan might not recognize. But here at RaceTalkRadio.com we have already interviewed many of these rising stars when they were racing their way to NASCAR! Tune in every Tuesday night to meet tomorrow's stars today. Last week we featured ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Tom Hessert III on "ARCA Thunder" and Craftsman Truck series driver Shane Sieg on "Down on the Farm."
